Events To Remember PR Case Study: Ozzy’s Auto Clinic

The Challenge

After a long shift of helping sick patients suffering from the Coronavirus at New York Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital, doctors and nurses returned to their cars to find that their tires were slashed. Upon hearing the news, Ozzy Cordeiro, owner of Ozzy’s Auto Clinic, arrived on site to assess the damage and donated $50 gift cards to each of the victims. In addition to the gift cards, Ozzy’s Auto Clinic also provided complimentary oil changes to all first responders and medical personnel. As a small local business, Ozzy felt the need to let these first responders know how special they are to the community and wanted to restore the community’s spirit during this difficult time.

How We Got There

Immediately upon hearing the news, Events To Remember advised Ozzy’s Auto Clinic to let us send out a pitch to the media highlighting their support for the victims and the goodwill they were providing for the community. Ozzy wanted to keep quiet, but the ETR team felt this story could really lift up the community’s spirits, so Ozzy agreed and ETR sent out the media pitch.
